WHAT IS IT TO BE FOUND?

Is it to identify a certain place or history that you feel most connected to? A specific person that makes you feel at home? How do you get to this place— a place of foundness? There is no ticket or fare that one can buy to get here. There are no maps and the waters are uncharted. Often, it is an unpaved, rocky road up a steep incline or down a treacherous slope. You can travel over water or through the air and spend your whole life chasing something (you are never told what) and still not reach what might be called a "destination."

People are born lost. Some never realize this; some realize it early on and yet still others figure it out when it's nearly too late. Along the way, people often encounter others in various stages of their journey. Some that are so lost hope to be saved by those who know— or at least, think they know— the way. Alexandra Hargreeves fit into this final category.

In all of her thirty-plus years of living (give or take a few— thanks, Five), she had arguably been one of the most driven of her siblings. Besides her compulsory superhero activities, her passion for art had given her life a purpose that her siblings hadn't had growing up. The moment she'd left the Academy, she'd known what to do and hadn't wasted years finding her interest. The older she became, the more convinced she was that she'd done it: she'd found the way and thus, had found herself.

She had never considered herself broken— lost, whatever name you'd like to give it—(emotionally, perhaps, but never in its entirety) until Number Eight of the Sparrow Academy had the audacity to shove the truth in her face.

more prevalent appearances of LGBTQ+ relationships.

I'm trying to make it a point to include more diversity as there's really no excuse not to. If any comments are negative towards this book because of these themes, you WILL be blocked & reported.
